Left school years ago? Us too.
But you know what? Every September that comes around, we’re thinking new pencil cases, new timetables, checking out how we are looking in back to work fits. Ahem.

“January is cold, skint and dark, and everyone’s miserable. September? You’ve had a whole summer to recharge and New Term Energy is in the air. And honestly – we’re here for it.”
Anyhoooo, it’s muscle memory, baby. Years of September clean slates and this-time-I’ll-be-organised vibes. You don’t just switch that off because you’ve got a job and an inkling of what Council Tax is.
And forget January.
January is cold, skint and dark, and everyone’s miserable. September? You’ve had a whole summer to recharge and New Term Energy is in the air. And honestly – we’re here for it.
But what type of Born Again in Autumn human being are you? Check out our guestlist of rebranders, you never know, you might learn a thing or two.
The Run Clubber
You’ll get people saying run clubs are basically just about getting into the pants of someone with a mad taste in lycra and dead flexxy hammys.
Probably fair.
But look, apart from sucking face with fellow sweaters, it’s a good way to burn off those summer shandies, right?

The Quiet Revolutionary
New hair.
New trainers.
New work bag.
It’s lowkey but there has been a vibe shift. Will they notice? Will the people recognise and put respect on your name? Time will tell.
But probably not. Sorry.

The LinkedIn Foghorn
There is no place on digital earth quite as hellish as LinkedIn.
It used to be all humble brags and “I’m pleased to share…” job move updates.
Now it’s like the DisneyWorld of lying, overrun with AI chatbots and people claiming they are “thought leaders” because they literally had one thought. And it wasn’t even good.

Anyway, you might want to get on there to shout about something. Make yourself seem important. Turn over a new leaf. We can’t do anything about that. Go well.
But here’s a few things you might want to avoid.

So… does any of it stick?
Honest answer: some of it. And that’s kind of the point.
And that’s the best bit about September. Unlike January, nobody’s keeping score. No resolutions, no pressure. Just a little buzz that says: go on, give it a go.
The run club, the nine-outfit morning. It’s not about becoming a whole new person. It’s about riding that New Term Energy while it lasts.
Hmm, might put something on LinkedIn about this…
